The Zelk's population thrives on the sweltering Light Continent, while abandoned and orphaned children on the Dark Continent struggle to survive. They are the source of the turmoil and the origin of the paranormal in the present. Magical beings, such as angels, demons, polar bears, and dragons, are believed to have resulted from Anunnaki gene manipulation. Even the Zelk were created this way.
