Alan Cockerill is a Russian language specialist, and qualified translator from Russian to English, working in Brisbane, Australia. His book "Each One Must Shine: The Legacy of Vasily Sukhomlinsky" is based on a doctoral study carried out from 1987 to 1993. Visits to Russia and Ukraine have helped him to gather a wealth of resources about the holistic Ukrainian educator.
