Prepare to be bewitched by Echoes of the Fallen. ~~~ Prelude The Demon Slayer I've been told my green eyes have a dangerous glint. The leather jacket I wear is adorned with symbols, each representing a demon I had slain. The jacket feels smooth and cool to the touch has a sleek silver blade in the sleeve, polished and at the ready; though it's not my weapon of choice. No one knows how I take their heart but they don't know the talent an angel left with me either. So, why the knife? To carve into the dead the symbols as the angel had instructed. Oh yes, she was very particular. ~ Frank aka Seraphiel, an archangel. I'd seen her the first time, on a night of howling winds and restless trees. Beneath a leather jacket her blouse of silky material, open at the throat and on down, reveals the curve of her luscious breasts, nipples peaked show against the fabric. I shouldn't notice such things but it's hard not to. She moves with such grace which is surprising for a woman so tall. ~

She seeks her next victim, with movements swift steps calculated, her eyes scan the street for hidden dangers, namely the police. They know she chooses her victims ahead, rapists who've never been caught. As I watch, suddenly, her green eyes turn towards me but she cannot see me, of course. And I smile, intrigued by her as well as watchful. ~

I'll have to be careful if I don't want to lose my heart. I'm an angel of the highest order, but I'll be human down there and the rules are very different. Still, I'm looking forward to this fascinating woman and the gift I have for her.

Autorenporträt

Brandy Marks, an artist and author was a registered professional nurse for over twenty years, then in 1991, after leaving the nursing profession, she went on to earn a Masters in Guidance and counseling at City University in 1994, then in 2001 was licensed as a mental health counselor in Washington. Brandy has also earned a Doctor of Religious Studies in Biblical Counseling, graduating with distinction from Trinity Theological Seminary in 2009 and has been writing books and counseling ever since.

Brandy resently retired from a small private practice in Vancouver Wa and besides writing, she also produces off-the-cuff videos both on Facebook, Youtube and zoom.us.

"In the counseling office", she says "I've become more aware of the need to help a person build their faith through the Word of God, but also to recognize those unseen forces in the spiritual realm that can influence a person's life for good or ill."

When not counseling, she's busy writing, painting or making videos, and enjoys time with her cat, a dog and nine cockatiels (give or take an occasional new hatchling or fosterling).

Everyone has a longing in his or her spirit to enter that realm where miracles occur, where angels move by the untold millions, touching our lives. As Oral Roberts once said, 'just beyond our natural eye sight our faith connects with this unseen world ... and in that supernatural realm we can use our faith to tap into those miracles.'
