Mónica Béjar Latonda was born in Barcelona, Spain. When her husband of 18 years died from brain cancer, she decided that a good way to deal with her grief would be to do a pilgrimage. She plans to do the Camino de Santiago hike, but the global pandemic halted her plans. Instead, she decided to write about what could have happened if she had done her pilgrimage.
