Vanessa manages to trace him through his phone to a mine dump and saves his life. They eventually manage to gather evidence against the police captain and he is charged for so many crimes and sentenced for a very long time. Vanessa is reinstated at her job and Ray excels in the business world and together, they take their relationship to another level. At the end, the power of love prevails over the power of evil and corruption.
