Autorenporträt
Prof. Xuecheng Bian is professor of Transpiration Geotechnical Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. He received his Ph.D. Degree from Okayama University, Japan, with expertise in the area of Tain-Track-Ground system dynamics, and was a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA and the University of Edinburgh, UK. He has also received a number of national and international awards and fellowships. He currently serves on the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Aggregate Committee (AFP70) and in the editorial board of Tranportation Geotechnics Journal.   Prof. Yunmin Chen is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research fields include soil dynamics, ground improvement and foundation engineering as well as geoenvironmental engineering. He has completed several major consultancy projects, including the construction of the first airport built on thick soft clay deposit in China and the deep excavation of Shanghai World Expo underground transformer substation. Prof. Chen has published over 200 technical papers and has received two national awards for his research achievements.   Prof. Xiaowei Ye is an associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Zhejiang University, China. His research interests include structural health monitoring, smart materials and structures, fatigue of steel structures, and structural reliability. Dr. Ye received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2010. He is a member of the Internati onal Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII), and the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE). He has served as a guest editor for 5 international journals and a peer-reviewer for 20 SCI-indexed international journals. He is the recipient of a numerous prizes and awards. Dr. Ye has served as PI or Co-PI for 20 researchprojects and has published 98 papers including 50 peer-reviewed journal articles, 2 books and 2 international conference proceedings. He is also co-holder of 4 Chinese patents.
