Author Yong Tao is a doctor of ophthalmology, chief physician and a professor at the department of ophthalmology, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing, China.

Author De-Kuang Hwang is currently the secretary general of Taiwan Retinal Society and an uveitis and retinal specialist in Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He is also an assistant professor in Ophthalmology of National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan.
