Autorenporträt
Erhard Brüchert, 1941 in Pommern geboren und in Ostfriesland zweisprachig mit Hoch- und Niederdeutsch aufgewachsen, studierte Geschichte und Germanistik in Marburg, Berkeley/USA und Göttingen. Er lehrte als Oberstudienrat für Deutsch und Geschichte von 1970 bis 2004 am Gymnasium Eversten und dem Cäcilien-Gymnasium in Oldenburg. Vor und nach seiner Pensionierung veröffentlichte er zahlreiche Bücher, Hörspiele, Essays, Theaterstücke und didaktische Werke für Geschichte und Deutsch im Gymnasium. Besondere Rollenbücher für historische Freilichtaufführungen für die "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Ostfriesisches Volkstheater", die er verfasste, sind etwa "Dusend Dalers" (in Oldersum) und "Störtebekers Dood" (Marienhafe). Andere Beispiele für sein literarisches Schaffen sind der Roman "Der Eisläufer", sein Essay "Ort, Sprache und Heimat" oder auch seine preisgekrönte, niederdeutsche Novelle "De halwe Fiskerman".
