Autorenporträt

Clifford Haka was born and raised in Chicago, attending Western Illinois University as an undergraduate, with an MA in History from Sangamon State University, an MLS from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Kansas. He was a second lieutenant in the Illinois Army National Guard, and held positions with the Illinois State Historical Library, the University of Kansas and Michigan State University, where he served as director of libraries for more than 20 years.

His wife Susan holds a PhD from the University of Kansas and was an accounting professor at Michigan State University for 35 years, including service as department chair and senior associate dean of the college. Susan also served as the president of the American Accounting Association.

Thier daughter Abigail, who holds a PhD from Harvard and MIT, resides in New York City with her husband Josh and three grandchildern.
