Autorenporträt
Born in California in 1963, J.D. Cheek's life has been anything but ordinary. Homeless at 13, he beat the odds to earn a high school diploma by 17. That same year, he joined the Navycelebrating his 18th birthday in boot camp. Though honorably discharged shortly after due to a pre-existing knee injury, his journey was just beginning.

A year later, J.D experienced something that would change his life forever: a close encounter with a UFO. Sharing his story wasn't easyhe faced ridicule, disbelief, and isolation. But he never stopped speaking his truth.

J.D has lived much of his life without a permanent home and has never owned a new car. Yet, he found moments of joy and recognition, becoming an approved tournament player for the Aloha PGA and enjoying free golf across Hawaii.

Over the years, the stories piled upand so did his clarity. With age came the courage to tell them. Encouraged by many, including his counselor, J.D. finally put pen to paper. Writing this book wasn't easy, but it was necessary. And yeshe's willing to take a polygraph.
