FYP MASTER Final Year Project Management System

This report documents the development of FYP MASTER, a full-featured web-based platform designed to manage and streamline the complete lifecycle of final year projects within academic institutions. The system addresses common challenges faced during project handling by automating essential processes such as group creation, supervisor assignment, evaluation scheduling, and result compilation.

FYP MASTER provides role-based access for students, faculty members, external evaluators, and administrators. Students can register, form groups, and select supervisors, while faculty and coordinators can manage project progress, assign evaluations, and monitor group performance. The system includes built-in evaluation modules for presentations, reports, and ethics, ensuring transparent and organized feedback from evaluators. It also supports AI-assisted supervisor recommendations and secure authentication.

A key feature of the system is the AI-powered supervisor suggestion module, which recommends suitable supervisors to student groups based on their proposed project titles and domains. By analyzing historical data and expertise areas of faculty members, the system intelligently matches project requirements with supervisor profiles, ensuring a better fit and improved guidance throughout the FYP journey.

Built using MySQL, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, the system is optimized for scalability and reliability. The system improves communication, enhances transparency, and reduces manual errors in managing final year projects.

This report explores the complete software development process including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. It also highlights technical challenges, user feedback, and future enhancement possibilities to extend the platform's functionality and improve its effectiveness.
