Jaheim Wilder is a Mississippi native. Jaheim was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and resides in Belzoni. Jaheim is a poet, a writer, and an artist. Jaheim was inspired by poets and writers such as Audre Lorde, Essex Hemphill, and James Baldwin. Jaheim's interest in writing and history began at a very young age after reading and studying poems and black history. Jaheim has spoken at events, performed at churches, and continues to write poetry.
