Shall we pray? Father, we bless you. We give you praise for the opportunity to look into the living oracles.

We want to ask, Lord, that your word will be released unto us in grace, in truth, in power. And at the same time, with the revelation that the Spirit of God can give, let it mix with faith within us that both ourselves and our listeners, we may be better instructed as we listen to you. Thank you, Lord, for hearing us, for we have prayed together in Jesus' name.

Amen. We want to thank God for bringing us back your way today again. And as you have been informed, we will be continuing on our studies in the book of 1 John, looking at crucial guideposts on to the end-time believer.

We started looking at that instruction in 1 John 4 from verse 1. I would like to read it again. 1 John 4 verse 1, and we'll read it up to verse 6. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God.
