The book of Genesis traces the beginings of the earth as it was created by God to its first inhabitants. It shows how sin entered the world and the effects of the sin on the human race. From the early chapters of this book, however, we see that plan of a loving God to restore His creation to himself. Through the stories of ordinary humans like you and I we see the grace and patience of God and are reminded of our obligation toward this God of grace and mercy.

This is a devotional commentary on the book of Genesis. Its goal is to open up this book to the reader in a way that is simple and relavant to his or her personal life. Each chapter ends with some questions to consider and some points for prayer making the application of the chapter practical and applicable to the reader's life.

Autorenporträt

F. Wayne Mac Leod was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Canada and received his education at Ontario Bible College, University of Waterloo and Ontario Theological Seminary. He was ordained at Hespeler Baptist Church, Cambridge, Ontario in 1991. He and his wife, Diane served as missionaries with the Africa Evangelical Fellowship (now merged with SIM) on the islands of Mauritius and Reunion in the Indian Ocean from 1985-1993 where he was involved in church development and leadership training. He is presently involved in a writing ministry and is a member of Action International Ministries.
