Als Herausgeber des Aviation Herald ist Simon Hradecky durch über 31000 Berichte dafür bekannt, ausschließlich faktenbasiert zu berichten und auch in Hintergrundrecherchen einzutreten. Als Folge des Absturzes des Germanwings A320 in den französischen Alpen wurden ihm Dokumente bekannt, die die offizielle Untersuchung, wonach der Kopilot Selbstmord verübt habe, in Frage stellten. In der folgenden Hintergrundrecherche entdeckte er Fakten, die belegen, daß der Absturz nicht so wie offiziell dargestellt verlaufen sein kann.
