A mother herself with young children, Diane Howell found it challenging to find a book that talked about God in a way in which her children could truly understand, connect with, and internalize in a meaningful way. The title God Is In My Tummy came to her more than 20 years ago while reading to her two young children, and what has followed is both a culmination of and a recollection of her own childhood experiences with awareness of and hearing her inner voice.

Somewhere in her teenage years, Diane grew apart from her inner voice, losing touch with the awareness of it and its wisdom only to find it again later in life. Each of us possess our own inner voice, our guidance, our intuition, our inner strength that differentiates us from each other. The word "God" is her descriptive term for this bright light shining within, for others it may be different. The term is irrelevant; it is the awareness of it that is most important.
