Rashad Abu Shawar is a Palestinian Arab novelist and storyteller, known to Arab readers. He belongs to a generation that began publishing its stories and fictional works in the Arab world over a period of more than fifty years. He was awarded Arab awards, and some of his short stories and novels were translated into several languages, including English, French, and Russian, and many critical studies were written about his works by major critics of the Arab world.
