¿Hello and welcome to "Grandma Margie's Pocket Jokes". My name is Al Cardone Jr and this collection of jokes and funny stories was inspired by Grandma Margie, who was my Mom.

Let me tell you a little about myself and where I came from.

My Dad was a popular Italian band leader who has appeared at many New York City area venues and appeared in films.

My Mom was the life of the party, she told funny stories and on occasion, did standup comedy for her friends at clubs they belonged to.

At times, it was like being raised by Lucy and Ricky Riccardo

While going through mom's belongings, we came across her cookbook, which included notes that were not recipes. We then realized they were the beginnings of jokes she told.

Once I read those first sentences, I knew the rest of the jokes simply because I heard her tell them hundreds of times from when I was a small child.

I began re-creating these jokes from memory and started posting them to my social media. Eventually, I gained a reputation. So much so that people began sending me jokes to edit and make them funnier and more importantly, shorter.
