Carolina López-Ruiz is Professor at the University of Chicago Divinity School and Department of Classics. Her books include When the Gods Were Born: Greek Cosmogonies and the Near East; Gods, Heroes, and Monsters: A Sourcebook of Greek, Roman, and Near Eastern Myths in Translation; The Oxford Handbook of the Phoenician and Punic Mediterranean (co-edited with B.
