His deep expertise covers every stage of the farming process, from breeding and development to quality control on the ground.After returning to Somalia in 2002, Mr. Siad co-founded ventures like Shabelle Agro Products to develop local agricultural resources. To bring world-class knowledge directly to the Somali farm, he pursued specialized training in commercial banana production in leading nations like Colombia, Costa Rica, and the Philippines.A passionate advocate for empowering the next generation, Mr. Siad founded the Somali Banana Technical Institute (SOBTI), which has provided critical, practical skills to over 500 young Somali agriculture graduates. He also facilitated advanced training for Somali students at Costa Rica's prestigious Earth University. He holds a Master's degree in African Studies and is dedicated to using his knowledge to help Somali farmers build a more prosperous and sustainable future.
