Leslie Saint-Julien is an award-winning actor, poet, author and playwright. Rooted in her Haitian heritage and born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Leslie's literary work explores themes of identity, beauty, culture, and personal truth. She is the visionary and writer behind Hair Me, a bold theatrical production and poetic movement that celebrates the legacy, complexity, and power of Black hair. Leslie is the author of several books, including the children's favorite Brooklyn Stew, the reflective poetry collection of More Than Me, A Cup of Me and her latest rhythmic children's bedtime story Moonlight. Her acclaimed short film Hair Me has earned multiple festival awards and inspired this stage-to-page transformation. A passionate speaker and teaching artist, Leslie uses storytelling as a tool for healing, education, and community empowerment. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is passionate about expanding her commitment to shaping meaningful messages that uplift and inspire.
