GIOVANNI ALABISO is the owner of Salem Historical Tours and Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour that gives walking tours about the history and paranormal in Salem, Massachusetts, where the infamous 1692 Witchcraft Trials occurred. He also owns Witch City Gift Shop that sells souvenirs and unique gifts. He is a former sports/news journalist having worked for major metropolitan newspapers in Boston as well as daily newspapers in Greater Boston. He is a retired CPA having worked for a top national accounting firm. He also worked as a controller at a few private companies, conducted audits for the state of Massachusetts and did some forensic accounting for the FBI. He is also an actor, comedian and producer. He did standup and improv comedy for about 15 years in New England and NYC. He has acted in several independent movies and been featured in a myriad of feature films, sometimes with lines and sometimes not. He was also in a play called Fishnet Networks.net that ran in Boston's Theatre district for three years. He has also produced a few movies of his own as well as plays and comedy shows. Giovanni is also a historian. He has researched and written about the Salem Witchcraft Hysteria for 15 years. Most of his presentations have been on walking tours, but he also has done presentations at conferences, local organizations and via zoom. And being in Salem, he also regales visitors to the city with stories of ghosts and the paranomal. He was also the host of an internet talk show called Salem History & Beyond that ran for two years during covid and featured many experts and authors in the field of witchcraft.
