"A fresh and sympathetic contribution to trauma recovery literature." -Kirkus Reviews

"I wholeheartedly recommend this book to any trauma survivor." -Dr. Ronald F. Levant, former president of the American Psychological Association

Life can feel incoherent, chaotic, and painful when you're first diagnosed with a dissociative disorder due to chronic childhood trauma. The road ahead may seem frightening or uncertain, and you may think of yourself as incompetent, unworthy, or even crazy. But what if, instead, you pictured yourself as a hero about to embark on the most difficult but rewarding journey of all? What if you focused on forgiving yourself and the trustworthy people in your life, rather than following society's common advice to forgive your abusers?

This approachable and insightful workbook will equip and empower you for the long, arduous road to recovery, with or without forgiving your perpetrators. Rather than embark on a potentially harmful mission to forgive those who have hurt you, you'll embrace your inner drive to heal, set your healing intention, and ride the Healing Wheel© into a whole life.

Healing Without Forgiving includes real-life stories as well as exercises to challenge and affirm you on your demanding but fulfilling healing journey. Believe it or not, you are the hero of your own story!
