Autorenporträt

NGARTO FEBRUANA, born in Batu, Malang, Indonesia, in 1967, graduated in Indonesian Literature from Gadjah Mada University in 1995. He wrote short stories from 1986 to 1997, published in local and national media. His novels include Lorong Tanpa Cahaya (1999), Menolak Panggilan Pulang (2000), Tapol (2002), and Harga Seorang Wanita (2006).

Ngarto has written nonfiction books solo and with teams, such as Manual Sumber Daya Masyarakat Kabupaten Aceh Tengah dan Bener Meriah (2009) and Bangkit dari Puing-Puing Gempa dan Tsunami (2005).

Ngarto has over 20 years of experience in Jakarta's media, including roles at D&R, Semanggi, and DeTAK. Since 2001, he worked at Tempo Inti Media in various editorial, research positions, and news video producer for over 5 years. After retiring in 2022, he became multimedia manager at Rumah Politik Kesejahteraan (RPK), producer at TV Yapena, and freelance writer for the Attorney General's Office. Ngarto manages the official website of Muhaimin Iskandar, PKB Chairman and Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, at the RPK think tank.

Ngarto has shared over a thousand photos and hundreds of videos worldwide since 2009 via various photostock agencies. Since May 2009, Ngarto has run a YouTube channel with over 500 videos. Married to Windarsih since 1997, they have three children: Retami Aliffiani, Savita Dyuti Anaya, Falih Ajriya Prasananta.
