Autorenporträt
Patricia Knoll began writing romances a number of years ago when she was faced with birthday number thirty and the impending arrival of baby number four. Convinced that she would be forever confined to the house changing diapers, she sought an escape and found ti in a popular fiction writing class being offered locally. Several people in the class were interested in writing romances and Patricia, who had never read one, decided to see what they were all about. She wuickly became hooked on these emotionally-involving stories with happy endings. When she told her husband she wanted to try and write one, he said, "Of course you can write romances. You're such a dreamer." With his encouragement, she has written and sold nineteen books and especially likes creating quirky characters and funny situations. Fortunately, her four children have long since passed the diaper stage and have turned out to be delightfully normal considering they were raised by a mother whose attention was usually on her current book and not on them.
