Volker Oberle is the Director of the EFI laboratory for transplantation immunology at Jena University Hospital. He studied Chemistry and Biochemistry at the universities of Freiburg and Halle-Wittenberg and did postdoctoral research at the University Medical Center Groningen before moving to Jena in 2003.
