Nathaniel R. Helms is a military writer and former army veteran who has served three combat tours in Vietnam, and covered wars in Central America and former Yugoslavia. He is the author of three military histories as well as three novels grounded in his experiences as a combat soldier, Texas police officer, and freelance war correspondent. Helms resides in St. Charles, Missouri.
