Autorenporträt
Lily was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado to a family of engineers. As a child, she struggled with dyslexia and wrote and illustrated picture books for herself before she could read. She struggled especially with math and was the inspiration for a book published by her mother to assist children with memorization. Any early shortcomings were made up for by her supportive family, who had the time, energy, and resources to invest in her health and education. With accommodations, she excelled in mathematics and science, and learned multiple languages. She earned her Bachelor of Science with distinction in physics and started out the first few years of her career doing research. In 2024, she struggled to find work and began filling in the gaps between jobs by sketching and writing. "Light Returned" is her first fantasy novel. Lily currently lives and works in Colorado with her husband. She enjoys spending time in her garden and swing dancing with friends.
