Produktbeschreibung
A revolutionary guide for parents to help their children develop a healthy relationship with food and their bodies, rejecting the diet culture that surrounds us all.

Kids are born intuitive eaters, but well-meaning parents, influenced by society's pervasive diet culture, often worry about the best way to feed their children. Amidst the ongoing discussions about tackling the childhood obesity epidemic, the importance of cultivating a healthy relationship with food is often overlooked. The consequences can be disastrous, mirroring the well-documented negative impact of dieting on adults, such as weight cycling, low self-esteem, deviations from normal growth, and eating disorders.

In How to Raise an Intuitive Eater, Sumner Brooks and Amee Severson assert that parents want the best for their kids - to feel safe in the world and their bodies, to grow up as competent, healthy eaters, living their best lives in the bodies they were born to have. With a compassionate and relatable voice, this groundbreaking book equips parents with the knowledge they need to improve the health, happiness, and wellbeing of their children, offering a powerful antidote to the fear-based approach to food and eating that has become the norm in our culture.
