Srihari S. Naidu MD, FSCAI, FACC, FAHA, Editor of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is an Associate Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College, and Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. He completed training in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell Medical Center and general and interventional cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. A recognized expert in the management of patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in general, and the minimally-invasive alternative to open heart surgery alcohol septal ablation in particular, Dr. Naidu runs a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence and has managed over 1000 patients with the disease. The author of over 100 original manuscripts, Dr. Naidu lectures regularly throughout the United States on Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Interventional Cardiology, and leadership aspects to achieving career success, and co-runs a live national proctoring course on the alcohol septal ablation technique. A nationally regarded cardiologist, Dr. Naidu serves on several committees within the American College of Cardiology (ACC), has co-authored or chaired national guidelines and consensus statements, and is a Former Trustee of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). For SCAI, he founded the Emerging Leader Mentorship (ELM) Program, an executive leadership track for promising physicians. A graduate of Brown University for both college and medical school, Dr. Naidu is Past President of the Brown Medical School Board of Directors and current Trustee of the Brown University Corporation.
