Politics is a negative word for many. Citizens often dismiss politics as corrupt and of no interest. However, the meaning is full of responsibility that every citizen should respect for politics determines how a country operates.

Who is responsible? Primarily, the voters determine who controls these issues that make a country. Certainly, politics in America is worthy of all citizens paying attention to what their government is doing and what the problems are. If only some extreme groups are allowed to determine who governs, then we have a dark future.

This book details numerous issues that America has, many of them critical. Two of the most important issues are education and health. The problems with these two essential foundations of America are discussed, and solutions are suggested. Ideal America doesn't exist, but we should strive to make it so. That requires everyone to invest their time to learn about our government and our future for we are all dependent upon it.

John Benedict has become an author at a very late time in his life. Having had a career as an engineer turned marketeer, he founded two companies. His work has led to an adventurous life in 5 major cities, attending 16 different churches and living in 14 different houses.There was little to learn in his schooling about civics but once the 1960's arrived he was gradually captured by the many items happening in government. Through this he became an avid reader about government. The last 65 years has been a daily study in the revelation ofAmerica, the government and the voters. John Benedict has been educated way beyond government 101. Experience beats readingevery time.John Benedict has always been involved in government activities, participating in caucuses, state conventions and volunteer work in his community including sports, and service of every kind in churches. He enjoys Bible Study, dancing at least twice a week, sports, and landscaping, having grown up on a farm.John and his wife live in Florida. Family is spread out over 6 states and includes children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
