Autorenporträt
Yevgeniya Przhebelskaya was born in Russia, and immigrated to the USA with her parents when she was 18. She earned a Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing from the CUNY BA Program and a Master's in Elementary Education from Hunter College. After graduation, Yevgeniya Przhebelskaya taught at LaGuardia Community College for several years. Currently, she works at Leonia United Methodist Church as an Administrative Assistant, combining her love for God with service for community. Since 2010, Yevgeniya Przhebelskaya has been volunteering as an English Conversation facilitator for International Students, Inc ministry with her husband Dr. Jerry G. Ianni. In December 2017, she started the Bergen Poetry Workshop to share her love of reading and writing poems. Yevgeniya hopes that her poems about faith and frustration, suffering and healing will encourage people around the world. Yevgeniya Przhebelskaya's poems were published in many journals including Ancient Paths, Anti-Heroin Chick, First Literary Review-East (accepted for September 2018 issue), Time of Singing, The Penwood Review, The Pangolin Review and Soft Cartel. Several of her poems also appeared in The Art of Infertility blog, Poetry Leaves Festival at the Waterford Township Public Library, and the website for Leonia United Methodist Church.
