Autorenporträt

Sir Ronald Cohen is a pioneering philanthropist, venture capitalist, private equity investor, and social innovator leading the global Impact Revolution.

He is president of GSG Impact and chair of both the International Foundation for Valuing Impacts and The Portland Trust, all of which he cofounded. He also cofounded Social Finance UK, USA, and Israel, and served as founding chair of Bridges Fund Management and Better Society Capital. He chaired the G8 Social Impact Investment Taskforce (201314), the UK's Commission on Unclaimed Assets (20052007), and the UK's Social Investment Task Force (200010). In 2012, he received the Rockefeller Foundation's Innovation Award for Social Finance.

He was cofounder and executive chair of Apax Partners Worldwide LLP (19722005), a global private equity firm, and cofounded both the British and European Venture Capital Associations. He has held roles at Harvard University and the University of Oxford.

Oxford and Harvard educated, Sir Ronald was born in Egypt and came to the UK as a refugee at age eleven. He is based in London, New York, and Tel Aviv.
