It's possible that one day, one of the big companies that specializes in manufacturing computers, the big companies that specialize in manufacturing computers, will take the software used for their big computers to improve it and use it. for computers to get software for computers using small microprocessors. IBM and DEC already have very powerful software libraries.

But again, fortunately for Microsoft, the majority of users have no intention of upgrading their machines into personal computers. There was only one threat that appeared in 1979, when DEC launched the PDP-11 minicomputer improved in the form of a personal computer called HeathKIT. However, DEC did not fully trust personal calculators, and so they did not actually speed up production.

Microsoft's goal at that time was to write and provide software for most personal computers but was not involved in the production or sales of hardware. Microsoft registers extremely low software prices. We improve programming languages such as BASIC version to suit each type of machine. We react very quickly to changes from hardware manufacturers. We don't want to create any reason for our customers to look for other software.
