Autorenporträt
Brian Hamnett has been working in academia and researching on Latin American and Iberian History. At the same time, he has been writing novels and stories. He is currently Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Essex. Brian is the author of numerous academic books and articles, among which are 'A Concise History of Mexico', Cambridge University Press, and 'The Historical Novel in Nineteen-Century Europe', Oxford University Press. He has also self-published two novels, 'The House in Zanthos' and 'Empire Island', as well as a book of eight short stories, 'Afternoon on the Grass'.
