Produktbeschreibung
The use of technology in higher education has grown significantly in India since the Covid-19 pandemic. This volume examines the intersection of technology and higher education, tracing the evolving landscape of technology adoption in higher education in India.
Moving beyond theoretical discussions, the book examines how various technologies are actively reshaping educational opportunities. The volume presents a comprehensive analysis of policies, practices, and achievements while also engaging with ongoing concerns about technology-driven innovation and its use. Key themes include state and market-led technology initiatives, policy frameworks, integration of digital tools in teaching and learning, and the role of technology in promoting access, equity, and inclusion. It also covers disruptive innovations, best practices, and success stories that reflect the promise and challenges of sustainable digital transformation in Indian higher education.
This book, a contemporary critique of the policies and practices surrounding technology and higher education, will be of interest to teachers, students, and researchers in education, public policy, technology studies, economics, law, sociology, and development studies. It will also be helpful for academicians, policymakers, and anyone interested in Indian higher education.
