Laura Davis-Chanin's debut autobiography, The Girl in the Back: A Female Drummer's Life with Bowie, Blondie and the '70s Rock Scene received the ASCAP award for excellence in writing and was named one of the Top Ten Books in Music by Billboard Magazine, 2017. Her following book, I Am Michael Alago is about the music executive and renown photographer who is known for discovering the band Metallica. Her most recent publication, Infinite Dreams: The Life of Alan Vega follows the remarkable achievements of the artist and musician, Alan Vega with a Foreword written by Bruce Springsteen who was greatly inspired by Vega. Currently, Laura is finishing a novel entitled A Point in Time about a deadly crime in the church and a screenplay based on her first book.
