Jonathan Downie is a French to English and English to French conference and church interpreter. When not writing funny books, interpreting or making videos, he writes serious books, like his award-winning first book: Being a Successful Interpreter: Adding value and delivering excellence (Routledge, 2019). He also wrote the book on whether machines will take over from human interpreters: Interpreters vs Machines: Can interpreters survive in an AI-dominated world? (Routledge, 2019) and a recent book on helping churches become multilingual: Multilingual Church: Strategies for making disciples in all languages (William Carey, 2024).
