Introduction to Countertransference in Therapeutic Practice: A Myriad of Mirrors takes a critical stance on the phenomenon, and theorising, about the 'so-called' countertransference. While transference has been fully described in the literature, countertransference is still viewed as its ugly twin by some practitioners, making it difficult for clinicians to develop confidence in being 'authentic' as well as professional in the work.
