Autorenporträt
Im Januar 1962 geboren, wuchs Ruth Vogelsang in einem kleinen Weiler auf einem Bauernhof auf. Schon früh musste sie Verantwortung für die kleineren Geschwister übernehmen und in Haushalt und Hof mitarbeiten. Früh folgte sie auch ihrem Drang nach Unabhängigkeit und zog mit 16 Jahren in die nächstliegende Stadt. Ihre vielseitige berufliche und schulische Karriere begann mit einer Ausbildung zur Bäckerin und schließlich einer Anstellung als Pflegehelferin, ging über das Abitur auf dem zweiten Bildungsweg, bis zur Fremdsprachenkorrespondentin und war angestellt als Sekretärin und zuletzt als Vertrieblerin. Nach 45 Jahren ununterbrochener Arbeit beendete sie ihren beruflichen Lebensweg im Februar 2023. Dann setzte sie sich an den Laptop, einem inneren Verlangen folgend, begann zu schreiben, hörte nicht mehr auf und schrieb, bis daraus ihr erster Roman "Jeanne, Elèn & Paul" erwuchs. Sie lebt am Bodensee und liebt das Winterschwimmen.
