We don't know who he is at first, and he isn't sharing much. He is an observer of the people he passes as he walks through the town, invisible to most, or so he wishes. He stumbles onto the scene of a murder and, at first, all he cares about is grabbing some money from the dead man's wallet, but he notices a young boy who may have witnessed the crime, and has seen him do something to the man. Each time he lets himself get involved in a situation, it draws him in, deeper and deeper into a web of intrigue and deceit, where even his most astute observations can be deceiving. Wanting out, but feeling drawn in, he fights against his natural instincts and training to try to solve much more than a murder. If he can find all the pieces to this puzzle, he might just find his way back to his former life, or something new, and even more deadly.
