Produktbeschreibung
Judgment Must Begin at the House of God is an examination of doctrines and practices in the contemporary American church, which have corrupted the faith that was delivered to the original Christians by Jesus and his apostles. But the critique of this book does not question the theology of salvation; that is not the problem. Instead, this book will identify teachings and traditions of men that have infected the church with the culture and politics of the world. As a result, the beliefs, values and attitudes of many Christians in America have been leavened with hypocrisy, causing them to act in contradiction to Christ's example, and to misrepresent God's love for the world. The book will expose these doctrines and traditional practices, by comparing them with the eternal truths of the Old and New Testaments. Its interpretations of scripture are substantiated with verse references and by the original meanings of Hebrew and Greek words. The apostle Paul called this process of critical self-examination in the church, "the washing of water by the word." By engaging us in this work of cleansing, the Lord will "present to himself a glorious church" without spots, wrinkles or blemishes (Ephesians 5:26,27).
