Autobiography: Sandra Kareen Richards was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1933. She attended Beaumont Grade School, graduated from Grant High School, studied 2 years at Oregon State University, where she joined Delta Delta Delta, and completed 1 term at the University of Hawaii. She married Vic Juhola in 1954 and had 2 children, a boy and a girl. She was a stay-at-home mom and later helped her husband with their deli and wine cellar in downtown Portland for 21 years. She also sang with City of Roses Sweet Adelines for 16 years.
At her church, Mountainview Christian Church in Gresham, she wrote and directed many children's plays and productions. She was also commissioned by Jonathon & David to write verses for their "Precious Moments" card line.
Writing has always been a hobby for her, and anywhere there is paper and pen... this is her "Happy Place."
