Autorenporträt

AJ Sam, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, is a retired educator (23 years) of public-school systems in Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Volusia counties (Florida). A U.S. Air Force veteran, he graduated from St. Petersburg Jr. College and worked in the Engineering and Computer fields through the 1980s into the '90s. In 1997, he accepted a calling from God, returned to college, and earned a Special Education degree from the University of South Florida. In 2003, he again accepted God's call - this time to the ministry - and was ordained a Baptist preacher in 2007. He's married, has a daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. As an avid history buff, his writing attests to this fact by his attention to the details of the historical events, facts, and characters he weaves throughout his fiction. As an author of historical fiction, AJ Sam believes this: the history in his narratives must be researched thoroughly and relevant to the times we live in now; the fiction in his narratives must be real and capture the essence of the hope of the characters he creates and the readers he entertains. As a citizen of humanity, AJ Sam believes this: the necessity of studying the past, but not living in the past, never repeating the past, but instead, learn from the past to ensure a better future for humanity.
