Mathematician and philosopher of science Catalin Barboianu talks about mathematics to convince readers that to understand mathematics means first to understand it as a whole, but also as part of a whole.

This third eBook of the series is dedicated to the language of mathematics, which is an element of specificity of mathematics among the other disciplines and also accounts for the nature of mathematics itself. The eBook deals with the formal and non-formal nature of the mathematical language, its syntax and semantics, its linguistic entities (definitions, axioms, theorems, and other mathematical propositions), symbolism, and the incompleteness of mathematics as a formal system. The work also provides as a novelty the general principles for overcoming the difficulties in reading and understanding the overloaded symbolic expressions, by what author calls 'the conceptual reading' of the math expressions.
