Egyptian by birth, Canadian by choice, Lina has lived her life on two continents, which is reflected in the multiculturalism of her stories. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Lina treasures English literature and culture. She completed a Professional Writing Certificate specialising in marketing and public relations to supplement her passion for writing. She has been writing short stories in English since 2014. The first story in Liberation, A Glimpse Inward, was published in the online literary magazine The Write Launch in March 2019. Lina also writes poems in Egyptian, some of which have been published in the biweekly Egyptian-Canadian newspaper, Al-Ahram Elgdeed. Happy and honoured to be a woman, Lina finds spiritual inspiration through nature. As the mother of two amazing young people, she respects the visions of the new generation. In her writing Lina strives to illustrate women's feelings, define their thoughts, and express their views with insight and honesty.
