Autorenporträt
Jim was born into a military family with parents originating from the heartland, but, while on active duty, was continually reassigned to U.S. Navy coastal port areas. He was, as a result, widely traveled, educated, and exposed to diverse cultures through college. Thereafter, he joined the Navy and occupied many duty stations, including a tour in Vietnam. After military service, he worked for 33 years in the School Child Nutrition Program of Escambia County (Pensacola), Florida, where he still resides to this day. His 40-year marriage produced five children and seven grandchildren.
