My love of elephants began when as a child growing up in Brooklyn, New York I visited the zoo with my family.I was amazed at the massive size of the elephants.How could anything be so big but also so gentle.Were they always this size,I wondered.This question was answered when i saw a small baby elephant. What was unusual about this baby elephant was his love of the music playing on the zookeeper¿s radio.as he swayed back and forth to the beat of the music. I gave him the name Little Rumba. This is a story about a baby elephant that loves music and finds a way to share it with his family, friends and the rest of his community.

Autorenporträt

R W Rhodes was born on a farm in Bladen County North Carolina. His fi rst memories of wildlife were that of a mother bird searching for food and feeding her baby birds, as his own mother prepared breakfast for her husband and the rest of the family. His love of wildlife in its natural habitat continued as he completed his studies and served in the military. He resides in The Washington DC Metropolitan Area with his wife and three children.
