Autorenporträt
Mark Lim didn't start his career in a classroom, but in the demanding world of finance, working in fund management teams for some of Malaysia's top banks. While successful, he was driven by the idealistic dream of changing society for the better, believing that the most profound impact begins with a strong foundation in the early years.

This conviction led him to make a life-changing decision: he moved to England to immerse himself in Early Childhood Education. Starting from the ground up as a nursery nurse, he earned the UK's rigorous Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), a qualification so unique he is likely the only person in Malaysia to ever hold it.

Upon returning to Malaysia, his expertise was recognized when he secured the role of Head of Curriculum for the prestigious 400-capacity early years centre at the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia). However, his ultimate vision was to build something of his own.

He and his wife, Maddie, took a leap of faith and ran their own childcare centre. What began with just 13 students has since blossomed into a thriving group of six centres, nurturing between 250 and 300 children each year.

Above all, Mark is a very proud father to his three young sons, Jacob, Lucian, and Micah, who serve as his most important teachers and the daily inspiration for the practical, empathetic advice he shares in this book.
