This is the story of a life lived where truth meets consequence- and where even the hardest lessons point toward grace.

Produktbeschreibung
This is the story of a life lived where truth meets consequence- and where even the hardest lessons point toward grace.

John Tsukayama has spent his life seeking truth in the shadows. He's protected confidential sources at the risk of jail, helped expose the heads of a corrupted institution in a case that shook a state, and led covert operations that quietly defused workplace threats- without a single shot fired.

Yet his greatest lessons came not from danger, but from darkness itself-the moral injuries witnessed, the cost of integrity, and the ache of seeing too much. Still, Lived with Purpose is a story of hope-a guide disguised as a story collection, a field manual for living with honor, clarity, and heart. It shows that even in life's hardest chapters, there are glimmers of grace, flashes of humor, and acts of mercy that redeem the day.

With grit, humility, and quiet faith in redemption, this memoir speaks to anyone who has ever wondered how to hold fast to what matters most: family, love, and legacy.

Autorenporträt
Dr. John Tsukayama has been a recognized name in the professional investigative arena for over twenty years. He received his doctorate and master degrees from the University of St. Andrews for his research in the use of torture and other atrocities in counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism. He has long had an interest in the use of state power and what makes political violence attractive and viable. In addition to his scholarly pursuits, John spent twenty-six years as an investigator and became skilled at establishing a human-to-human rapport with criminal suspects, who almost always trusted him enough to confess their crimes. He's learned that even people who commit the most unimaginable acts, for the most part, live with regret and wish to be understood. He is also co-author of a highly regarded book on investigative concepts and techniques. John lives in Hawaii with his family where he teaches university classes in Political Science and Criminal Justice.
